Administered safely by our certified professionals, IV sedation puts you in a state of deep relaxation. While you will remain conscious and able to respond to the dentist, you will feel completely at ease, and most patients have little to no memory of the procedure once it is complete.

IV Sedation is highly recommended for patients who suffer from dental phobia, have a severe gag reflex, experience difficulty getting numb, or require complex surgical procedures (such as multiple extractions or dental implants). It allows us to perform more dentistry in a single, relaxed visit.
The Recovery
Following the procedure, you will rest in our comfortable recovery area until you are ready to be escorted home. You must avoid operating machinery, driving, or making significant decisions for 24 hours.

Is IV sedation safe?
Yes. IV sedation is extremely safe. Your vital signs, including heart rate and oxygen levels, are closely monitored by our trained medical team throughout the entire procedure.
Will I be completely asleep?
No, IV sedation is not general anaesthetic. You will be in a state of 'conscious sedation' where you feel very sleepy and relaxed, but you can still breathe on your own and respond to verbal cues.
Can I drive home afterwards?
Because the sedative effects take time to fully wear off, you will need a trusted friend or family member to escort you home and stay with you for the remainder of the day.
