Extractions & Oral Surgery

Safe and gentle tooth removals, including impacted wisdom teeth.

Extractions

While our primary goal is always to save your natural teeth, there are situations where an extraction is the best or only option for your overall oral health. From severely decayed teeth to impacted wisdom teeth, our experienced clinical team performs extractions gently and efficiently.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

Impacted or partially erupted wisdom teeth can cause severe pain, pericoronitis (gum infection), and damage to adjacent teeth. We utilize advanced 3D CBCT scanning to assess the precise position of the tooth root in relation to the nerve, ensuring a safe surgical removal.

Socket Preservation

If you plan to replace the extracted tooth with a dental implant in the future, we often recommend socket preservation. By placing a bone graft material into the empty socket immediately after extraction, we preserve the jawbone structure, setting a solid foundation for future implant placement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I feel pain during the extraction?

No. We ensure the entire area is profoundly numb using local anaesthetic before proceeding. You will feel some pressure and pushing, but no sharp pain. For anxious patients, we also offer IV Sedation.

What is the recovery time?

Most routine extractions heal very quickly. You may experience mild swelling and discomfort for a few days, which can be managed with standard painkillers. We provide detailed post-operative instructions to prevent complications like dry socket.

When can I eat normally?

Stick to soft, cool foods for the first 24-48 hours. Avoid hot drinks, hard or crunchy foods, and do not use a straw, as the suction can dislodge the healing blood clot.
